Our practice is working hard in order to help plan and help staff the Covid Vaccination campaign at various locations.
It is important that patients and their relatives do not call the GP surgery as our staff are dealing with extremely high volumes of calls as well as going out to carry out vaccinations in people’s homes, as well as staffing the hubs. Additional calls with questions about the vaccination program will mean patients wanting to get through to the practice who are ill and need to speak to a Doctor may not be able to get in touch with us in a timely manner.
Thanks to all our patients for continuing to be so supportive of our endeavours when we know that everyone is so keen to get their vaccination as soon as they can. We will call you or send you a letter as soon as it is your turn.
Where can I get my Covid Vaccination and how will I be invited to attend my appointment?
Patients in Ludlow will soon be able to access Covid Vaccinations from a number of locations.
Nursing and Residential Homes
The practice has already carried many vaccinations in care homes. We have vaccinated all residents and staff in Four Rivers Nursing Home, Churchill House Nursing Home and Alexandra House Residential Home.
Home visits to housebound patients
We are visiting all our Housebound patients for their Covid vaccinations in each cohort. Each Doctor or nurse will need to go out to our patients who are housebound and administer the vaccine in their home. We will call you to let you know when we will come to visit and offer you the opportunity to have a relative with you during the visit.

Walk Through Vaccinations at the practice
Some limited Covid 19 Vaccinations will be done at the practice mostly on weekends. You will get sent a letter of invitation which you will need to bring with you on the day and time of your appointment. The clinic will be a walk through clinic where patients will enter through the front entrance and exit via the back entrance. We will send you a letter or call you to offer you an appointment as soon as it is your turn.

Walk through Vaccinations at the Mascall Centre
The Ludlow Mascall Centre has now been approved as a vaccination site for our patients as it offers us much better free car parking facilities as well as larger rooms to assist with social distancing. We will carry out the majority of our practice (Portcullis) vaccinations from this site as this allows us to offer covid vaccination during weekdays without impacting on the practice workload. We will text you with our Accurx system or send you a letter or call you to offer you an appointment as soon as it is your turn.
We would like to thank the Mascal Centre for their enthusiasm and support.
