Issues with POD
We have received reports that NHS POD (Prescription Ordering Direct 033 33 583 509) service has been very busy at times and that some patients have even been asked to call back on a less busy day due to capacity issues.
The POD team deal with all the practices in the Shropshire area, not just ourselves, and some times of the day are much busier than others. They have been experiencing staff shortages due to the unprecedented rise in positive cases and “pings” from contact tracing similar to all other businesses and NHS services.

You can also order prescriptions via patient access or the NHS app or by emailing the practice on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Finally, there is still the option to pop your repeat slip through our letterbox for non-urgent requests, please be aware that all paperwork slips will not be processed for 3 days in accordance with our infection control protocols. Many thanks
