Have you recently had a diagnosis of cancer or still having treatment for cancer and are worried about some non-medical issues such as finances etc?
Would you like some help, support or information about
Please contact the surgery and book an appointment with our MacMillan Community Care Coordinator Helen Davies.
Helen is an experienced health care professional who has been working in a cancer support role for over 10 years and is available to provide emotional, social and practical cancer information. She can also help you access cancer support services. Any physical cancer concerns should be discussed with your GP or Practice Nurse.
As a Macmillan Community Care Coordinator she is available to provide non-medical support following a cancer diagnosis and treatment. If you have been diagnosed with cancer between February and August 2021 you may find it helpful to discuss your needs by coming in for a Cancer Care Review.
This allows you to talk about your cancer experience and concerns, understand what support may be available and help you identify ways to manage your condition. The aim of the support is to maximise your wellbeing whilst living with and after a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Helen will be offering face to face appointments at the surgery on Thursdays and telephone appointments on Friday afternoons.
For further information or to make an appointment to speak to Helen, please email the practice on firstname.lastname@example.org or call Portcullis Surgery on 01584 872939 or visit our website
