FLU 2020 UPDATE 3/9/2020
Please register with Patient Access in order to book your flu vaccine this year
As we announced earlier, this year we are booking priority patients to receive the flu vaccine at the earliest possible time in September/October.
We are providing a walk-through service for the majority of our flu vaccine in September but are working with Shropshire Council to provide a drive-through, walk through service for October/November flu vaccine delivery in order to maximise social distancing.
Please do not call the practice about flu vaccinations we will call you and invite you if you are eligible and in the below priority groups.
Our priority groups that we are currently calling and booking appointments for are:
We will shortly (within the next 10 days) be opening flu vaccine appointments for the above groups as well as all patients over the age of 65 that will be bookable on Patient Access as well as via a dedicated flu phone line.
We therefore would highly recommend that all patients who have online or internet access register with Patient Access immediately in order to ensure that they can book their flu appointment online and avoid the queue on the flu phone line.
For information on how to register with patient access please visit our website https://portcullis-surgery.co.uk/online-access-registration/. It really is very easy to do and takes less than 10 minutes.
Patients aged 50-64 (without other qualifying criteria) cannot book a flu vaccination yet appointments as these may be made available in November or December for this group subject to additional flu vaccine supply. We will update you as soon as we know more information.
