Update on Covid Vaccines 13/1/2020
We are aware of an interview in BBC Shropshire this morning where it has been suggested that pharmacies may be rolling out the vaccine in Shropshire before GPs. We wish to reassure our patients that this is not the case. Our practice is working with the CCG who are leading with the roll out in Southwest Shropshire of the Covid vaccine and we have been reassured by them this morning that there is no suggestion this may be the case in Ludlow or in the surrounding area.
On the contrary a hub in the Ludlow area is due to open shortly as previously mentioned and we expect GP practices also to be able to give the vaccine in our surgeries very soon. As soon as we get confirmation we will let you know.
We are very sorry that a centre has not yet been opened in our local area and apologise for the delay but please be patient, good news is imminent.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE PRACTICE ABOUT THE VACCINE WE WILL CALL YOU AND WE WILL KEEP YOU UPTODATE ON OUR WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK PAGE.
This morning we will be busy vaccinating patients in Four Rivers Nursing Home with a team led by Dr Robert Colebrook, ANP Kate, ANP Amanda Robinson and our medical student Shiroo. We also wish to thank our practice manager Rachel Shields for all her hard work in helping organise the vaccination programme.
