Portcullis Surgery is a member of Our Health Partnership
The partners of Portcullis Surgery, Dr Catherine Beanland and Dr Chris Targett are partners of OHP which is a GP partnership of 37 practices with 53 surgeries, a total of 176 GP partners and circa 80 salaried GPs serving around 358,000 patients in Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Wolverhampton, Solihull and Shropshire.
For more information about OHP please follow the link to the following website
In the local area, the following GP practices: Church Stretton, Clun, Craven Arms, Bishops Castle, Highley and Much Wenloch practices are also OHP members.
The partnership offers a shared administrative and management structure, cutting down the time doctors have to spend on admin. It opens up economies of scale to get best value from budgets. It has the resources to develop innovative services and effective partnerships with local hospitals and care services. It can access new funding streams that are only available to large GP organisations but from our patient’s point of view there will be no obvious changes to how they receive their care from Portcullis surgery; this is an administrative and not a clinical change.
“We are delighted to join OHP as partners as we feel that the organisation is passionate and committed to the partnership structure for General Practice. By joining OHP, we believe that we will be able to continue offering a high quality service for our patients within a shared partnership structure that believes in promoting high quality medical care. We look forward to a secure future for our surgery, working in partnership with other like-minded local GPs, while offering greater job satisfaction and wider career choices for our committed and capable doctors, nurses and practice staff”
