Portcullis Pulling Together with Pulling Together Ludlow
Posted on May 17th, 2020
The latest Bulletin from Pulling Together Ludlow has been published and in this edition it features two joint initiatives with Portcullis Surgery.
We are very proud of our contribution to Pulling Together Ludlows work.
In partcular we would like to thank our wonderful Care Coordinator Judith Sharod who has been working tirelessly with Pulling Together Ludlow and recently helped organise the training sessions for their teams of befrienders together with Peter Gray. Judith has also been helping with their helpline over the past weeks.
One of our reception team, Ted Hennell, has also been “seconded” to Pulling Together Ludlow’s helpline and has been doing a fantastic job covering the phones.
Finally our counsellors Mary Bunting and Siri Lewis also have some special allocated slots for Pulling Together Ludlow in order to provide them with some additional counselling support if needed by any of the helpline volunteers.
We will continue to support PTL over the next few months and are very proud of Portcullis’ contribution to this wonderful community initiative.
Portcullis Surgery has been providing routine immunisations throughout the lockdown period, however we wanted to pilot how to provide immunisations to large numbers of patients in the safest most socially distanced way. The pilots, with the help of PTL are going very well and we are now planning to provide the annual flu immunisations to their 2000+ patients eligible for the flu in a similar way in order to provide the vaccine in the safest most socially distanced way possible.
Thankyou to Richard Duck and Ned Dunne who led the morning and afternoon teams at short notice. They were expertly supported by Ffion Cartwright, Gracie Pugh, Iona & Graham Aylen and Naomi Jones.
