Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Cancer Screening Week runs this week from Monday 20th – Friday 24th June 2022.
People across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin are being urged to attend regular screening opportunities to identify the early signs of cancer and to find out more about booking a screening appointment at their local GP practice, and what to expect at the appointment.
In our surgery we would like to highlight the importance of breast cancer screening in memory of Staff Nurse Andrea Williams RIP. Andrea was an inspiration to us all.
Portcullis Surgery will be wearing PINK on Friday 21st October in order to raise funds for breast cancer research in memory of Staff Nurse Andrea Williams.

Breast screening is for patients with no symptoms and invitations are sent automatically to women from their 50th to their 71st birthday. If you have missed your appt or are over 71 with no symptoms but would like an appt for breast screening you should contact the local breast screening clinic to make an appt on 01743261000 Ext 367
